Med Seafood Bristo - Plettenberg Bay
Strangers to Plettenberg Bay are somehow always surprised to find this atmospheric, warm & sparkling restaurant tucked away at the end of the Main Street. The walls would love to tell you about the many, many years of family celebrations and gatherings during long summer holidays, and decadent jolly good times that were had here. Although having operated for 25 years in the same space, The Med looks fresh, now charming new generations of diners with not only its unique seafood menu, but carnivorous offerings like the classic roast duck a l‘Orange, slow-roasted lamb shank, meze and other Mediterranean–influenced offerings. And oh! do not forget the decadent desserts! You will be made to feel as if you are one of the family........
Monkey Bar - New York
Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, whose ownership turned the quiet Waverly Inn into one of the city's most sought-after reservations, continues to dabble in the restaurant business with this second venture. Carter's rep told the Times that the space will be “a small restaurant, low-key,” which is also what they said about the Waverly Inn, and no doubt translates to “major power scene that is effectively Graydon's midtown clubhouse.” It makes a lot of sense that Carter would covet the space, which is double-distilled old New York, right down to the famous monkey murals.

Monkey House Cafe - California
It’s a Jungle Out There!
Escape the daily grind and swing into the Monkey House Café.
A whole new adventure in cafes is now available to residents and visitors to Huntington Beach. In the winter of 2006, Monkey House Café opened its doors under entrepreneurs of Angeli Poon, her daughter, Rochelle and Rochelle’s husband, Dan. The family owned and run operation brings the trio’s complementary career experiences together: Angeli, providing a strong business background in hotel management, digital media advertising, retail and designing, Rochelle, holding a degree in Restaurant Management and Culinary Art from the University of Nevada and Dan, being a restaurateur with years of experience in the food industry.
The idea for the café developed out of love and passion for a warm and cozy place for everyone to come and hang out with good coffee, delicious snacks, great foods and of course, Rochelle’s love of monkeys.
When it comes to feeding time, Monkey House Café doesn’t monkey around. Whether it’s an expertly crafted latte or cappuccino, a freshly blended fruit smoothie, one of our many specialty sandwiches or scrumptious desserts, the House has you covered and rest assured that this isn’t your ordinary monkey business!
