Strong Southern African Presence For Itb Asia
Since the show’s inception, ‘Southern Africa On Show’, produced by On Show Solutions, has represented the core of the African exhibitors at the show.
“Asia Pacific is one of the engines driving global tourism forward. Both inbound and outbound travel from this region is increasing steadily year on year and these figures confirm the optimism that international exhibitors are already demonstrating at this year’s ITB Asia,” said Nino Gruettke, Executive Director of ITB Asia.
The organisers have confirmed 20% growth in exhibition space for 2012 with more than 40% non-Asian exhibitor participation – an indication of the global business potential from this market. Some 97% of buyers recommend ITB Asia as a key show to attend in the region with diversity of buyers reflecting 50% leisure buyers and 50% corporate/MICE buyers
ITB Asia 2012 will also incorporate its largest conference ever alongside the exhibition. “We constantly strive to listen to our buyers and exhibitors to help us focus on delivering high-impact conferences that not only meet, but exceed their expectations. To our buyers, ITB Asia is not just a leading trade show for them to generate business leads but also a platform to network and learn from the best in the industry,” said Gruettke.
“This year, we’ve upped our game again by adding new conferences to our already powerful line-up of events, delivering quality content that is most relevant to our delegates. With three new conference partners adding their experience and expertise to our knowledge platform, we are a step ahead in our goal to develop ITB Asia into a leading think tank for the Asian travel, tourism and hospitality industry,” he added.
