While having breakfast on Sunday morning in Plett, Derek Frielinghaus, an ex Plettenberg Bay station commander, heard the siren for a Sea Rescue call out … a boat was overturned in the river mouth. It took just on 3 minutes for the rescue boat to hit the water… for what turned out to be a false alarm with good intentions.   Derek took pictures of the launch.

Air France Resumes Cape Town Flights

Air France has confirmed that it will resume its seasonal flights to Cape Town, beginning October 25. The thrice weekly schedule will continue until May 12, 2013.This year, however, the airline will extend this seasonal service by six weeks as part of Air France KLM’s African expansion policy, which includes KLM’s new route to Harare, starting at the end of October.
